Here at Art Smart, we believe that true art takes time. That’s why we are happy whenever parents enroll their children while they are still young, and feel proud and fortunate to witness their growth as they learn more about the craft. Another reason that makes us grateful is when parents keep us updated with the progress of their children, like Joy Uy de Baron on her daughter, Nadia.
In 2012, Joy enrolled Nadia in Art Smart. Nadia was 9 years old at that time. Below are Nadia's paintings with Art Smart from 2012 to 2014.

They recently migrated to New Zealand, and Joy has been looking for an art school that fits Nadia best. However, most of the art schools Joy approached had qualms in accepting Nadia. Apparently, the training Nadia received from Art Smart made her too young for the advanced courses and overqualified for the classes designed for her age.
Since they think that “she’s too young to take painting seriously”, Nadia now takes lessons from her grandmother, Sannie Ty, who is a renowned artist in New Zealand.
Nadia loves challenging herself when it comes to painting. She chooses her own subjects, and this Zalameda-inspired piece took her only six hours to complete.

"Art Smart did a wonderful job in nurturing Nadia's love for painting", Joy says.
"And we will definitely invite you (Art Smart) if that happy event happens!”, Joy further exclaims when we teased her that Nadia should have her own art exhibit very soon.

To keep things challenging and exciting for this budding young artist, Nadia's grandmother is now teaching her to do human figures and faces. And here at Art Smart, we know that Nadia will prove, once again, that age is not a limitation in terms of how good one can be when it comes to learning and more so in painting.
